Anastasia Beverly Hills is one of the fast-rising cosmetics brand in the industry today, partly because of this liquid lipstick worn by Kim Kardashian. I won’t usually mention Kim Kardashian in any way in this website (I’m not a Keeping Up with the Kardashians fan) but since I coveted the much-talked about liquid lipstick she wore to one of her shoots, alas I must swallow my pride and mention her *gulp*. Anyway, the ABH Liquid Lipstick in Pure Hollywood has been sold out in most online stores but good thing, Irene Cara of Irene’s Closet has a special part for me in her heart and saw to it that I get one in her next batch of pre-orders! Thanks Irene, you’re a sweetheart! (Don’t you love sellers who are so easy to deal with?)

This liquid lipstick has a good formula of intense matte and a single application gives a coverage that stays put for hours. I love how gorgeous Pure Hollywood’s color is: a nude beige pink that goes on a matte light brown on my lips. It gives me an illusion of being pale but I love pale lipsticks! (Hello MAC Lady Gaga 2!) My bf’s reaction: mukha kang may sakit! (You look like you’re sick!) Hahahah! I still love the color though.

The biggest problem that I have in this though is the consistency. It’s easy to apply but the liquid lipstick seeps into the lines of my lips making it look and feel really dry and uneven. It’s a bit sticky on first swipe so don’t purse your lips together. Wait for it to dry and settle. Eventually, it will give off a good effect, however, there is always an urge to grab a lip balm to moisturize the lips (uhuh they don’t work really well together). It is long wearing if you do not eat oily food and drink like there’s no tomorrow (like what I did, haha!). I wish they come up with this color in a satin lipstick.
