Opening up the blog for advertisements and sponsorships has been a long time debate in my mind as the editor-in-chief of the blog. I believe in the "Advertise Later" scheme wherein we open up ad spaces in the blog after we achieve some good traffic and growth and a deeper level of commitment to our blog and to our readers. After all, it does take a lot of work before brands and companies can take a blog seriously.
The Pink Tarha Blog has been on the web for three years and a half. We started with 2,000 readers and we already felt so happy and lucky with those numbers. The Pink Tarha is the only active lifestyle blog in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia that caters to expat men and women (okay, mostly women). We feature and round up the best restaurants, beauty shops, malls, and we also offer how-tos, tips, and guides beneficial in moving to and living in Saudi Arabia. The bulk of our readers are in Saudi Arabia but we also have a huge readership from the Philippines and other countries like the US and the UK, probably expats-to-be in the Kingdom looking for information resources.
