Have we not been eating lately? Hahaha. Well, it’s a back to back fashion and shopping entry for us here in The Pink Tarha. That’s probably because the holiday season is ahead and we all know that we’d have functions to attend and we have to shop for outfits and accessories. Having said that, the Part 2 of the Riyadh Fashion Days coverage is all about accessories. The first part covered the clothes and garments (click here) and today, let me give you a rundown of the latest trends in bags and jewelries as per the Riyadh fashion scene.
All the designers featured in the Riyadh Fashion Days AW14 could be found on Instagram. Maybe you’ll see something you like and follow them on their accounts. 🙂
As you enter the Maison B-om’s showroom for the RFD, you will immediately notice these fancy letters with bright lights featuring Loomzi, a designer for exotic leather goods that’s based in Riyadh. They have some nice items which I really liked, especially that pink bag (of course!). Available are shopping tote bags, wallets, phone cases and other types of purses.
After the Loomzi station, I was welcomed by the glass casings of different jewelries from different designers. It seemed to me that ‘dainty’ was the name of the game as most of the pieces featured thin and delicate bracelets and necklaces. Nothing too chunky or bold.
There was also a very unique find in Th’haba Jewelry wherein they showcased singular Arabic letters in bracelets that were very pretty to look at and wear at the same time. It could be a nice present to someone special with a simple yet refined Arabic flair.
The only colorful case of jewelries was from Loomer Jewelry (@loomerjewelry), which designs arabian-heritage design pieces.
There were more bags on display in the middle of the venue and one of them was Creativa Bags– another creative leather goods designer that’s based in Qatar, Dubai and Riyadh. I took a look at one of them and the quality does really speak for itself.
The turbans on display were unmarked, so I’m not sure who the designer is. But if you do know someone who is into turbans, just direct them to Maison B-Om. I’ve known for a while that they’ve showcased these headscarves before.
All of the collection showed above are available at Maison B-om, Nujoud Mall, right across the Intercontinental Hotel. You can find their location on this link.
And with that marks the end of my chronicles of the Riyadh Fashion Days AW14. Until next year, stay in style RIYADHizens!
