Yalla Walla3ha, Fire Grill!

I love Burritos. Back home, I use to frequent Army Navy because of their burrito. It’s my comfort food. And while there are many Mexican restaurants in Riyadh, Burritos weren’t their main attraction. It’s fast food, after all. So you can guess how happy I was when a new Fire Grill joint opened just a few minutes from our new house. Hehehe.

When you walk into a Fire Grill, you’ll immediately notice the very masculine decor. You’ll find industrial lights, brick walls and bright red water barrels, that will remind you of a Fire Fighting Station. This is where you bring the boys and hangout. It has “macho” written all over it and definitely not fast food. But what sets Fire Grill apart from all the other Mexican Restaurants in the city is the fact that they use all organic and fresh ingredients on their menu. When you order, you’ll see all the ingredients in front of you and you get to choose what goes exactly into your burrito. Now my burrito isn’t just a comfort food, it’s also healthy too.

The very macho feel of Fire Grill

I agree, these “babies” are a bundle of joy to my eager taste buds!

We were bit alarmed when the crew started shouting singing when we ordered a Burrito. The crew were lively and they were nice enough to explain the menu for us newbies. I chose a spicy chicken burrito with quinoa and brown rice and everything spicy they have on the menu. Hubby on the other hand ordered his on plate sans the bread. I have to tell you that the burrito is big, fit for a grown man. I had to take half of it home because I was really full.

My burrito was so big, I could hardly fit my hands around it.

Hmmm. Just writing about this made me hungry again. I might ask Hubby to drop by again. Good thing we have The Burrito Card too! If we keep this up, I might get my 8th Burrito for free. Hahaha.

They also have free Wifi and Foosball tables. Oh did I mention that they even sell Fire Grill T-shirts?

I also like their website because they have a detailed map and you can check the nutritional value of their menu so that you can plan what you will order and still be within your caloric budget for the day.

So, what’s your favorite Mexican food?

When they sing the song (usually shouts or not really lively), did you not think that they are already spitting on the food, because the staffs does not wear face mask. I like the idea, but not wearing a face mask is unhygienic for a commercial food business. Shake Shack Burgers (in Jeddah) does the same idea, welcoming their customers by way of lively scripted group greeting, but they do wear face mask, so there is no issue on food hygiene.
