What is the most ‘manly’ mall in Riyadh? Jarir! Oh right, Jarir is not a mall. Haha! Hmn, that would have to be Localizer Mall don’t you think? After Localizer will have to be Granada Centre, one of our favorite malls as well. At least that’s where most fashionable guys are and through the years that the city center has been filling up with more people and establishments, most malls have gone towards the ring roads and most brands have opened up the “first of” their stores there. Take for example UK brand Austin Reed. It’s first store opened in Riyadh opened in Granada Mall late last year.
Founded by Austin Leonard Reed in 1900, Austin Reed (the brand) was the first menswear retailer to make ready-to-wear clothes that has the same level of expertise as made-to-measure. It’s first store was established in Fenchurch Street in United Kingdom followed by a bigger flagship store in 113 Regent Street in 1911. Today, Austin Reed known for its blending of traditional values with contemporary style is now a global brand delivering superior quality to over 100 countries. Not only did it continue to grow and innovate but it also got a royal following being granted two Royal Warrants as official suppliers and outfitters to Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and the royal family. Well, I’m not sure if you’ll look like a royal wearing their pieces but I’m sure you’ll feel like you belong in the upper echelons of society, haha.
Austin Reed is known for its men’s formal wear…
And also later on, in casual wear…
Starting my entry with a question on “men” might led you thinking that Austin Reed is just for men. Actually, it carries women’s and kid’s apparel too.
And you know what’s so cute about it? They have father-son collections. Their adult shirt designs carry over to the boy’s shirt designs so you have a “mini me” wardrobe. Ain’t that just adorable?
If you guys are looking for more options for your wardrobe, check out Austin Reed and feel like a royal. I know, we’ll never be royals (royals) because it doesn’t run in our blood but maybe the kind of luxury they have can be had too. So yeah, let’s live in the fantasy. (Aminin, you sang it! Haha!)
