I attended the launch of the newest scent of Jergens lotion in one of our favorite nail spas in Riyadh, Four Nail Spa and Salon last week. Filipinos are fans of Jergens. We always have bottles of them in our balikbayan box and our families and relatives like receiving them. I’m partial to the aloe vera line and scent because it reminds me of home, the tropical Philippines which uses aloe vera in many things. Now, Jergens Smoothing Oud reminds me of Saudi Arabia. When I first applied it to my hands during the launch, I was amazed on how well they have captured the scent of Saudi Arabia and managed to put it in a bottle! OMG amazeballs!

Along with a gorgeous new bottle, Jergens also introduced a new technology called Hydralucence that provides long-lasting hydration eliminating dullness and dryness. It also reflects light making the skin deeply luminous. Not sure about making me luminous haha but the Jergens lotion is easily applied and it gets absorbed in one swipe and a quick massage to my hands and feet. It doesn’t feel greasy. It feels just light and right for a walk outside Riyadh’s hot weather. It didn’t feel sticky at all. While oud is a great scent that the Middle East market likes, it’s an acquired scent for SE Asians like me. Hehe. I’m sticking to my favorite aloe this time.
