There is no denying my love for Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip liquid lipsticks. I have acquired more colors over the months that I got to know them. I’m so enamored by their lip products that I decided to get my hands on their solid lip color range named Lippie Stix. They literally come in thin sticks! I couldn’t decide what color to choose so I consulted Irene of Irene’s Closet and she suggested I get the set called Sundays in Silverlake. It contains six lippie stix in different formula and it’s the best value for my money.
There’s Ace in cream formula. It’s the most wearable of the shades especially when you’re always on the go in your rounds or in your errands. It’s a lovely, subtle creamy brown. Parker in matte is a gorgeous brown that’s also an every day color. Chella in cream is the peachy color in the bunch. It has a nice brightness to it and a bit cheery if you ask me. I’m a bit surprised with Thirsty because it looks tame in the stick but when it gets swiped in the lips, it becomes a vibrant red violet that gets attention! Now that’s a perk-me-up satin! Pasties is the brightest of them with its hyper glossy formula. I haven’t road tested it because I’m afraid the color might attract the wrong kind on the streets, haha. Lastly, Cougar is a grogeous matte red that’s more of a mature version of most red lipsticks.
Colourpop’s Lippie Stix is a hit and miss for me. There are shades that are just gorgeous. My favorite of the bunch would have to be Thirsty because it’s opaque on the first swipe but there are colors that are a bit pale and doesn’t stay on my lips nicely (ehem Ace ehem). Apart from the contents of the Silverlake set, I also ordered Lax in one of my Colourpop online shopping. I love how vampy the red wine-ish Lax looks in my lips. It’s definitely for a red carpet event.
If you’re tired of the same lipsticks you find in makeup counters in malls and department stores in Riyadh, then Colourpop which is not easily available is worth the wait.
