Beauty Bets: L’oreal True Match Foundation

Just a few more foundation bottles to go through and we’ll be done with The Pink Tarha’s Foundation Month/s! Today I’m reviewing L’oreal’s True Match Super Blendable Foundation. This foundation has been getting really great reviews and an award as the Reader’s Choice Winner at the Allure Beauty Expert 2014. Now that really gave me a reason to add this at the last minute to my Drugstore.com haul.

The L’oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation is popular because if you can’t find the right shade for you in other brands then you will probably find yours in this line. It has 33 shades to choose from! Yes, 33!!! It has 3 ranges: warm, neutral, and cool. And each range has 10+ shades under it. I didn’t know what to choose because I can’t see the shades personally (one of the disadvantages of online shopping) but I settled for W4 Natural Beige, which is the color that I’m in for most foundations. Fortunately, it matched my skin tone and texture! This foundation is formulated with a patended color technology and a precise match technology. Coverage goes light on the first swipe but this is buildable. I can control the coverage the I want and fine tune it. It doesn’t have a distinctive smell too. It’s said to be filled with Vitamins A and C, wheat germ, and grape fruit extracts that keep the skin nourished and healthy.

It's a match!

It’s a match!

I was surprised at how lucky I got to get the right color for my skin tone. When I first used this, I wasn’t blown away by it but as I use this from time to time, I can see how clean and light it feels in my skin. It went on smooth and is not chalky. It didn’t cake and give me that ‘naka-foundation talaga‘ look. It looks and feel just natural. It covers my pores, but not my skin’s imperfections (scars, discoloration). However, it made my face look good all day long. It didn’t make my face oily (my skin is combination, on the oily side). It also has a SPF 17 which protects my face. Not all of its shades has this SPF though.

All in all, this L’oreal foundation is really good and indeed, it’s a match! 😉
