Top 6 Face Highlighters That Will Make You GLOW

It’s been a while Beauty Bets! For today’s entry, it’s all about that bling! That shine we put in our faces to mimic a very healthy glow. Or a glow that even aliens can see from the moon (if there are aliens in the moon haha). These are the face highlighters that will show you how to truly shine and sparkle! I have tried a few and you bet my highlighter drawer is filled with the best of the best from every budget there is. Except high-end, because I don’t have the budget for those haha. From drugstore to online to mid-end (mostly brands that Sephora carry), these are the highlighters that will not let you down. Let’s BLING it on!

*swatches swoon* Can you guess which is which?

Arranged according to prices:

1. Wet N Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals and Crown On My Canopy

What: Infused with shimmering pearl pigments, these highlighting powders give a glistening glow when applied to the cheek bones, brow bone, and Cupid’s bow.
Price: SR 25
Where To Buy: Whites Pharmacy branches in Panorama Mall, Riyadh Gallery, etc.

These are your best bets when it comes to effective highlighters that’s so budget-friendly you’d wish they come up with more shades! I had my first Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals bought from the States (thanks R!) but imagine my delight when I saw them available in Whites Pharmacy already! That’s where I got Crown On My Canopy. Apart from the nice flower on the palette, these highlighters truly gives the face a shine that goes on naturally with an extra oomph! They give a fresh dewy sheen and not glittery like some of the highlighters featured on this list. Because of its natural-looking shimmer, these highlighters are very easy to work with. They blend smoothly. Perfect for every day wear.

2. Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette in Solstice

What: Solstice instantly enhances the complexion with a radiant glow, the highly pigmented metallic finishes create a gorgeous luminous sheen on the skin.
Price: USD 15 (approx. SR 60)
Where To Buy: Whites Pharmacy branches in Panorama Mall, Riyadh Gallery, etc.

This is my first love when it comes to highlighter palette. I’ve been watching beauty gurus hail this as their holy grail highlighter. Like Wet N Wild, this is an affordable makeup however, it was not immediately available in Whites Pharmacy, which is the first pharmacy in Riyadh that carried the Sleek brand. They only had the Precious Metals before; I didn’t like that as much. I had a friend buy the Solstice palette in London and boy was it amazing! A little goes a long way! It gives a beautiful all-over shimmer that also enhances the skin with a fresh, radiant glow. At first I was intimidated with the purple powder but mixing it with the bronzy one gives it a super luminescent glow. Go in light-handed because these are pigmented.

3. Colourpop In-Nude-Endo Palette

What: For the everyday glow up! Get a high shine glow from super fine pearls and a buttery soft powder formula. For the perfect finishing touch day or night!
Price: USD 18 (approx. SR 69.3)
Where To Buy: Colourpop (direct shipping to Saudi Arabia)

I love Colourpop’s Super Shock Cheek Highlighters. They were affordable and they truly work like sunbeam on a bright morning. However, when the In-Nude-Endo Highligher Palette came, it’s all I ever use after getting my order. Six highlighters in one palette for USD 18? Oh my yes! The formula is very different. It’s not entirely powder yet it’s not a cream. It’s something in between but buttery smooth. It glides on so well. It fits any skin tone. My faves are the top row colors: Glad You Came (warm ivory), On the Loose (soft gold), and Fine Line (silvery cream pearl). The ones on the bottom row are good too; they’re just a bit too warm for my skin tone. Sometimes, I just swish around my brush on all colors and use all of them in one swipe.

4. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in Peach Goddess

What: Skin Frost highlighting powder is extremely pigmented, so get ready to glow like a lighthouse!
Price: USD 29 (approx. SR 112)
Where To Buy: Jeffree Star Cosmetics (no direct shipping to Saudi Arabia, can use Shop & Ship)
Beautylish (direct shipping to Saudi Arabia)

I love Jeffree Star Cosmetics products. Her Skin Frost highlighters are bestsellers and it’s hard to choose which color to get first (I only have budget for one haha). I got Peach Goddess because it’s one of the tamer colors that might work for a morena skin tone. I was happy to report that it’s actually very pretty! It sparkles like a pink crystal but it goes on with a hint of peachy tone. This Skin Frost is buttery and extremely pigmented! A little really goes a long way and it can be placed on the body as well for that supreme glow. It’s also vegan, cruelty-free, talc-free, paraben-free and gluten-free! On my buy list is the 24 Karat Pro Palette because of the Giza and King Tut pressed highlighters. I’m pretty sure they will deliver like the rest of Jeffree Star Cosmetics’ Skin Frost. #nodrama

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter

What: A limited-edition illuminating powder with an ultra-smooth formula and radiant finish.
Price: SR 162
Where To Buy: / Sephora branches in Riyadh Gallery, Panorama Mall, Al Nakheel Mall, etc.

I found my current favorite highligter! When beauty gurus were raving about the Amrezy Highlighter by Anastasia Beverly Hills, I was like uhuh… same old highlighter to me. It looks like a pale gold, bronze highlighter that has a pretty packaging and presentation. What else is new? Thank goodness for my birthday because Reina gifted me with the Amrezy Highlighter and OMG I was blown away by how good this is! It has a luminous glow that provides a nice sheen. It looks so simple and plain in the pan but when it’s on the cheeks… BAM! There’s also no fall-out whatsoever. The powder stays in the pan even with a hundred swipe. I love this soooo much!

6. Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife

What: Weightless, longwear cream-powder hybrid highlighters that range from subtle dayglow to insanely supercharged in solos.
Price: SR 168
Where To Buy: / Sephora branches in Riyadh Gallery, Panorama Mall, Al Nakheel Mall, etc.

A yellow gold highlighter… I must be crazy to even ask for this. But my friend Jamila doesn’t think I’m crazy so she gifted me this on my birthday. I have the most awesome friends, I know! This 3D hyper-metallic gold highlighter is STUNNING! This is definitely one of Fenty Beauty Killawatt Highligter that is insanely supercharged with pigment. It’s also very glittery and the shine lasts a long, long time. It’s not for every skin tone though; but it can also be used as an eyeshadow. One time, I put this in the morning and my husband was shocked. He said it looked like a layer of gold foil on my face. I toned it down a bit but it still definitely showed hard. By the end of the day, the highlighter is still at work but the glitter has spread all over my face. Haha.

I can’t stop using highlighters. I’m obsessed! In the morning while on the way to work, my past time is to take selfies so that I know how my highlighter looks like on different lighting: natural light, direct sunlight, on the mirror, etc. My husband thinks I’m nuts (but beautiful haha). The driver beside our car thinks I’m narcissistic hahaha. I love myself? I just love my highlight noh. Hahaha. Samples:

I mean… can you see that glow??? Trophy Wife by Fenty Beauty

Yup, that’s a blinding highlight alright. Amrezy by Anastasia Beverly Hills

There you go. What are your favorite face and body highlighters?
